“This is an Amazing venue for a wedding. It has options for inside and outside, depending on the weather. It's also a great time to get families together to celebrate for an extended period. We were there for a week and had our wedding with 100 guests at the end of the week. We would not change it for the world. The house attendant is very responsive and helpful as well!”

“We have so many great things to say about our stay at The Black Stallion and the gracious caretakers of the property. The photos of the estate accurately portray its beauty and grandeur. Both kitchens and all bars are stocked with more than you could imagine or need. Every nook and cranny of this home has been thoughtfully considered and equally equipped inside and out. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable; all of our guests commented on how wonderful their stay was. The second-floor fireplace proved the most beautiful backdrop for our daughter’s wedding ceremony, and the first-floor ballroom and bar comfortably accommodated 105 guests for a plated dinner and dancing. A dream event at a dream location. Thank you, Black Stallion.”

“I can’t even describe how amazing our experience was with staying at The Black Stallion for our wedding weekend. Annette was truly amazing. She answered every question and guided us with connections and whatnot for our wedding needs. The house was absolutely stunning and fit perfectly for what we needed to have our reception. All that stayed with us and attended the wedding loved being there. We could use the Currituck Golf Club with a recommendation from Annette for our ceremony, which had breathtaking scenery and was a perfect distance from the house. To say it is in the best location is an understatement. We were near a grocery store, which helped with last-minute things, other eating places, the ABC store, etc. The amenities available were so great. It truly is a one-stop shop. I definitely recommend it for your wedding needs and/or even a summer stay.”

“We had a New Year's Eve wedding at the Black Stallion. The week was so Great. Annette was in constant contact and very helpful. Providing our guests with such an awesome place to stay where we were all together was so convenient. We did everything there: meet and greet, dinners, wedding by the fireplace, reception/New Year's Eve in the hall and bar. People who were there could not stop talking about how awesome it was. We constantly watched people FaceTime a friend or relative who was not there to show them the place. Every room has its own bathroom (huge +), and most have a balcony. All of our vendors were very familiar with the Black Stallion, and everything went very smoothly. My new bride and I would like to personally thank Annette, she was very helpful and made our destination wedding everything we hoped for.”

“The Black Stallion was the perfect house to bring our family of 50 together for an epic family reunion! We have never been able to stay comfortably under one roof together, and this house gave us that opportunity. Everyone is still talking about how gorgeous the house is, and we look forward to the next visit! Additionally, the house was extremely clean! It was almost like we were the first ever to stay there, and there were plenty of useful amenities. Most of all, the staff was very accommodating, and if there was an issue, they addressed it right away.”

“Very nice facility with three floors of rooms, several common spaces, game room, movie room, hot tub that fits several people, both dry and wet bars on all three levels, a fully equipped professional kitchen, large deck and a separate house for whomever you decide gets it. Wow! We had a family reunion here, and it was fantastic!”

“Rented for a corporate retreat for 23 people – we had a great time! The facilities exceeded our expectations, and the manager was very responsive when we encountered our one small hiccup. We did a lot of our own cooking, so the huge, well-equipped kitchen was amazing. The cabana house, sauna, spas, and mini-gym were great amenities!”

“The venue was perfect; it was very welcoming, with the added bonus of having your own room/space. I loved the fact that we got to eat together, and no one had to travel anywhere.
